Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Program Management Manager (PMM) to drive strategic initiatives within the Sales and Marketing Business Operations department of our Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO). This position will be responsible for overseeing program planning, execution and on-time delivery, facilitating cross-functional collaboration to enhance efficient and cost-effective operation, and communicating with client for comprehensive understanding between client and internal teams

Responsibilities:

  • Manage projects with multiple interdependencies to move towards a common organization/client strategic goal.
  • Plan and schedule all clients facing meetings (invite business development representative as optional attendee to all client facing meetings). Represent company in project meetings, prepares meeting agenda and minutes, and follows up on action items. Lead internal and external close-out meetings to summarize the experiences of the project.
  • Oversee project schedule. Regularly prepare, update and share GANTT charts and schedule with clients. Track project performance periodically to ensure both short-term and long-term goals are met.
  • Monitor resources in project accounts. Estimate earnings and expenses through forecasting and perform reconciliations and share this with clients each month.
  • Oversee project budget. Proactively trigger change orders and new quotes to ensure that all effort is covered by work orders and purchase orders.
  • Communicate project results, risks, and issues. Facilitate internal/external discussions and emphasize when issues arise to appropriate organization’s members. Minimize deviations in the project scope or accommodate changes in order to make the project successful.
  • Support reconciliation and forecasting for the portfolio of J-STAR projects. Provide biweekly reconciliation financial reports to clients, EL, PMs, area heads and BD based on completed, ongoing and planned activities
  • In collaboration with the project lead and executive liaison, manage the client relationship and alert J-STAR Executive Management of any concerns.
  • Manage documentation with strict adherence to IP compliance for the project and ensure all internal reports are appropriately archived.
  • Draft and apply project management-related standard tools, processes and templates.
  • Perform other job-related duties as assigned by Line Management.

Qualifications

  • MS or PhD in a chemistry or engineering-related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Familiar with implementing project management methodologies. PMP certification is preferred, but not required.
  • Experience within the pharmaceutical/biotechnology company, CRO or CDMO is required.
  • Excellent written, verbal and communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage numerous projects simultaneously.
  • Clear and transparent communication, external and internal management skills, and passion to keep learning.
  • Ability to interact in an effective and appropriate manner with diverse population sets.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and other job-related software and applications.
